Award-winning British soap EastEnders looks set to have viewers on the edge of their seats again this summer with a dramatic wedding between Albert’s Square doctor Anthony Trueman, played by Nick Bailey, and the youngest member of the Slater family – Zoe.
In what is being billed as the soap wedding of the year, the couple will tie the knot onscreen in July following a massive bust up between Zoe, portrayed by Michelle Ryan, and her mum Kat, who previously dated the doc.
“Kat is furious when Doctor Trueman proposes to Zoe and decides to test him by kissing him on the wedding day,” said a show insider. “He backs off because he really wants Zoe.”
The scenes of the wedding and reception in a marquee erected in Albert Square have already been filmed.
