Golfing star Colin Montgomerie has bounced back from his recent divorce by starting a new relationship with one of the world's most beautiful women. The 41-year-old, who split from his wife of 14 years in September, has been romancing the glamorous Spanish model Ines Sastre.
Colin met the catwalk star at the Dunhill Masters golf tournament earlier this month. The 30-year-old, who is herself no stranger to the green, was taking part in the competition as an amateur.
Speaking outside her London home on Thursday afternoon, Ines said she is enjoying spending time with Monty. "Everything is going well at the moment," she said. "We'll just have to wait and see." Her new beau meanwhile remained circumspect about the romance. "We are good friends and we have been out to dinner," was all he would give away.
News of the relationship comes just a few months after Colin's marriage to Eimear ended. The couple, who have three children together, were both said to be deeply upset by the break-up. But it would seem there are no sour grapes between the two: Eimear has wished her ex-husband good luck with his new love. "I have met Miss Sastre - she is a very keen golfer," she revealed. "I want Colin to be happy and wish him all the best."
Ines, who is the face of cosmetics giant Lancome, has modelled for the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood. An aspiring actress, she also stars in the forthcoming adventure The Lost City with Dustin Hoffman, Andy Garcia and Bill Murray.
