Lily Cole and Anna Friel headed a list of names from the world of film and fashion flocking to the Albert Hall on Thursday for the return of Cirque du Soleil spectacle Dralion.
Sixteen-year-old British model Lily Cole was striking in a mosaic-patterned skirt, elephant-print top and chic blue scarf. Mum-to-be Anna, who wore a zebra-patterned coat over a long black dress, made her red carpet entrance on the arm of partner David Thewlis. Other stars spotted at the event, which combines avant-garde magic with the intrigue of a traditional Chinese circus, were Jessie Wallace and Dave Morgan and author Salman Rushdie.
Since its world premiere in Montreal in April 1999, Dralion has been seen by millions around the world and has returned to London for a second run. The Canadian company, which avoids the use of animals in its productions, has been captivating audiences with its combination of jaw-dropping acrobatics and fabulous costumes since 1982.
