The last 12 months have been difficult for Victoria Beckham, but if her current trip to Los Angeles is anything to go by the former Spice Girl is once again sitting on top of the world. Speaking candidly after a launch party for her husband's new soccer academy, the pretty brunette revealed that her recent troubles have made her a stronger and happier woman.
She and David have weathered a barrage of negative publicity over the past year as a series of their assistants made allegations of infidelity and strains in their marriage. "I may not be the best judge of character when it comes to choosing employees, but David wasn't a bad choice," joked the 31-year-old.
Having recently welcomed a new baby into their family, the Beckhams are now looking forward to moving into a new home in the Spanish capital. "We're both really excited about it," revealed Victoria. "The sale went through a few weeks ago and we're moving in in early July."
The line of denims she designed in conjunction with Rock and Republic are meanwhile selling like hotcakes. "I actually think I've found something I'm quite good at now," she said. "My jeans sold out really quickly in Harvey Nichols and in Kitson in LA."
And despite her reputation as a style icon, the mum-of-three said her pregnancies have left her with a less than model-esque physique. "I've got so much saggy skin on my stomach and I've got no bum at all!", joked the self-effacing star. "People tell me my jeans are like a wonderbra for their bum, but I have to take their word for it because I've got nothing back there at all!" |
