As the romantic partner of one of the most emblematic names in British sport, Nancy Dell'Olio certainly knows a thing or two about the footballing lifestyle.
And now she'll be putting her knowledge to work as presenter of a new programme that takes viewers into the glamorous homes of English football players.
The vivacious Italian girlfriend of England football manager Sven Goran-Eriksson is fronting Footballers' Cribs, an MTV show which launches on Sunday. The first episode peeks into such homes as Liverpool player Harry Kewell's Cheshire mansion – which, among other amenities, includes two plasma screens in one of the bathrooms – and the home of Blackburn's Robbie Savage, with its opulent bedroom with white leather bed and a driveway lined with Ferraris.
"Nancy is a dream signing for us," said series executive producer Sean Murphy. "She's the first lady of football, so is in the perfect position to give us a real insider's view." |
