BRITNEY AND SEAN GO SHOPPING WITH NEW BEST PAL PARIS

27 NOVEMBER 2006

Little Sean Preston has been getting to know the Hollywood party set before most of his contemporaries after his mum Britney Spears struck up a friendship with ubiquitous socialite Paris Hilton. The hotel heiress seemed more than happy to be left holding the baby as she and her pop singer pal hit Malibu for some evening shopping.

Paris, 26, clearly has a rapport with the cute one-year-old tot who looked transfixed by the blonde reality TV star on Sunday's outing. And if the last couple of weeks are anything to go by they may well be spending much more time together in the future.

Since announcing her split from 28-year-old husband Kevin Federline earlier this month, Britney has been inseparable from Paris as they let their hair down on the party circuit. The pair jointly hosted a bash after the American Music Awards, hit the Las Vegas clubs recently and last week sported matching leopard print outfits for a night out at LA hot spot Teddy's.

Britney, who has wowed onlookers with her post-baby figure after giving birth to her second son Jayden James in September, looks well after filing for divorce from Kevin earlier this month, citing "irreconcilable difficulties."

And despite the legal battle ahead - Kevin is fighting for custody of the boys - she is apparently determined to make a fresh start as soon as possible. The 24-year-old is also getting her career back on track, returning to the studio to record a comeback album.
