'HOTTIE' PARIS SERIOUS ABOUT LATEST FLICK

8 JANUARY 2007

She's the girl who introduced the phrase "That's hot!" into everyday language, so it seems appropriate that Paris Hilton's latest flick is titled The Hottie And The Nottie.

And the budding actress has been working hard to prepare for her latest role in the amusingly titled comic caper, which tells the tale of a girl who refuses to marry her longtime boyfriend until he can find the perfect match for her ugly best friend.

Not content with merely being a clothes designer, reality TV star, hotel heiress, and successful businesswoman with her own jewellery and fragrance lines, the ambitious party-girl is determined to make a name for herself as an actress. Despite less than glowing reviews for her first foray into acting - horror film The House of Wax - Paris remains undeterred.

Leaving home in LA for the movie's set, the 25-year-old was spotted clutching budding thesp's guide The Power Of The Actor. And the glamorous style queen showed she meant business by swapping her usual designer ensemble for a serviceable green tracksuit.

"I'm serious about acting and I have a bunch of movies lined up," she said. "I think I can become a good actress. It's something I want to prove to myself and to other people. I feel I'm getting better and feeling more confident about what I can do as an actress."
