No wonder Myleene Klass looked on top of the world in Cannes. The brunette beauty's dream of making it in the US is now within reach after she's reportedly landed a six-figure deal to host the American version of I'm A Celebrity.

Despite being a virtual unknown in the States, the 31-year-old former pop star was signed up by TV bosses who were impressed with her CNN film show The Screening Room.

Myleene – who was snapped on the French Riviera tucking into cakes after recording segments for her show – will fly out to Costa Rica at the weekend to film the three week programme, to be aired across the Pond from June 1.

Her management hope the deal will put her among the group of British TV stars who've found success in America, like Birmingham-born presenter Cat Deeley and actressess Ashley Jensen and Anna Friel.

To take up the appointment the mum-of-one had to put her other work on hold. She'll resume her Classic FM show, filming her new Channel 4 show 10 Years Younger and her M&S modelling work when she returns.
