You can always depend on your family to be there when times are tough. And Nicky Hilton was there to take her sister Paris' mind off her recent break-up as the girls attended a party at the Coachella festival at the weekend.

After first issuing denials, Paris finally confirmed she split with Doug Reinhardt a month ago. And she certainly seems to have no intention of sitting around moping.

The blonde socialite, who was spotted partying with Kim Kardashian's ex recently, was having a whale of a time at a fairground-themed bash at the California music festival. She was snapped riding on a merry-go-round with her younger sister and zooming down a slide.

Meanwhile Russell Brand's fiancé Katy Perry was the image of Pocahontas on Saturday while attending a day event at the gathering in a pretty Native American-style dress.

Other celebs spotted at the festival included David Hasslehoff and his daughter Hayley and new couple Jason Statham and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The British beauty, who was recently linked with Kylie Minogue's ex Olivier Martinez started dating the actor – who is 15 years her senior - a few months ago.

Kate Bosworth was also seen riding on the shoulders of her True Blood star boyfriend Alexander Skarsgard. The actor was later reported to have had a skirmish with the police, after he was pictured being held back by an officer.

US Magazine says the 33-year-old was angry about photographers taking pictures of him and Kate, but was calmed down by police and no arrests were reported.
