Lily Cole and US actor Enrique Murciano end long-distance relationship

British model Lily Cole has split with US actor Enrique Murciano after two and a half years together.

The 22-year-old beauty was heard at a BAFTAs party referring to the Without a Trace actor as her ex.

Friends said the romance had faltered after work and living on different continents made it difficult for them to see each other.

A source told the Daily Mail: 'They are both upset, but they are both extremely busy.

"Lily is focusing on her finals (in art history at Cambridge) and is still flying around the world for modelling assignments, while Enrique is filming (in Los Angeles) all the time."

Lily was first linked to Enrique, in September 2008 after the pair were spotted at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado.

The pair had made a habit of meeting up in Europe for glamorous dates. And there was even talk that marriage was a possibility.

 

 

When asked last year whether they would tie the knot, she replied: "I love him and he knows that and he loves me, so we'll see."

Thirty-seven-year-old Enrique, who is of Cuban descent, is out of the picture now, though.

On Sunday, Lily attended an awards party thrown by The King’s Speech producer Harvey Weinstein at the Leicester Square nightclub, W London, on her own.

She was snapped with model David Gandy, said to be the highest paid male model in the industry.

A spokesperson for Lily declined to comment on the breakup, saying it was "a matter of privacy".
