Focus on Demi and Ashton's marriage as he has guys' night out on anniversary

28 SEPTEMBER 2011

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's marriage is in the spotlight after the couple spent their sixth wedding anniversary this weekend apart.

This was undoubtedly due to work commitments; the 33-year-old actor has just landed one of the biggest roles of his life, replacing Charlie Sheen on hit series Two and a Half Men.

With long hours on set, Ashton is tied to Los Angeles where filming takes place.

His 48-year-old wife, meanwhile, was across the country in New York, where on Monday she joined forces with Jennifer Aniston and Alicia Keys to promote one of her cherished projects.

The photogenic trio premiered Project Five, a TV movie about women affected by breast cancer.

Each of the ladies directed a segment of the awareness-raising feature.

In the absence of his glamorous love, Ashton spent their anniversary on September 24 with Danny Masterson, a friend and co-star from his break out series That '70s Show.

The guys were seen enjoying an evening at Fluxx Nightclub, in San Diego, two hours away from Los Angeles.

Known as one of the most devoted pairings in Hollywood, the couple are united by their sense of fun and passion for good causes.

Ashton also won her heart by the way he easily adapted to his role as a stepfather to her children with Bruce Willis who call him 'MOD' (My other dad).

Meanwhile, the duo's playful Twitter exchanges have contributed to them having a combined following of 12 million users. Though recently they've steered clear of family matters on the social networking site and have looked strained in photos.

But the couple are used to speculation and don't let it bother them living their lives to the full.
