Dev Patel welcomes Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai to London

Dev Patel has met countless stars since his turn in Slumdog Mllionaire rocketed his career skyward.

But the chance to get to know Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan a little better must feature pretty near the top on his list of encounters with famous people.

The 22-year old, who is dating his Slumdog co-star Freida Pinto, looked nothing short of delighted to be spending time with the stunning Indian actress at the opening of the new Bulgari hotel in London on Thursday.

Aishwarya was beautiful in an outfit by Sabyasachi Mukherjee featuring a black and gold scarf known as a dupatta over a monocrome dress with a pretty embroidered white skirt.

Her gorgeous green eyes were perfectly accentuated by copper eye makeup.

The 38-year-old star faced criticism in her home country about her figure following the birth of her baby girl Aaradhya.

But the star is clearly back on form, seven months after giving birth.

Other glam ladies at the event included Holly Valance, model Petra Nemcova, and singer Florence Welch.
