New friends Beyonce and Kim enjoy double date with other halves

02 JULY 2012 While their other halves are the best of friends, the ladies only recently began to get to know each other.

And Beyonce and Kim Kardashian's blossoming friendship went up a gear on Sunday.

The uber-glamorous pair were on fine form as they accompanied their partners Jay-Z and Kanye West to the BET Awards in California on Sunday.

Smiling and sipping pink champagne with their men sandwiched between them, the ladies looked to be thoroughly enjoying their double date.

Beyonce, who took to the stage to accept Best Female R&B Artist, was stunning in a lime green gown slashed to the thigh.

Nude sandals and cascading curls completed the high-octane look.

Reality TV queen Kim, meanwhile, was sultry in a backless, unzipped white dress that made the most of her famed figure.

But the ladies had competition in the glamour stakes from Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

Pop princess Mariah was dazzling in a sequinned gold gown that hugged her curves, with her trademark tumbling tresses topping off the striking look.

 

And rapper Nicki teamed her all-black outfit with platinum blonde locks.

Kim and Beyonce were spotted cheering on their partners at a concert last week.

The BET Awards are held by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African American achievement in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment.
