Girl power for one last time as fab five Spice up the closing ceremony

Making a spectacular entrance atop five London black cabs, the Spice Girls rode back onto the world stage to belt our their hits one last time.

One billion sports and music lovers watched around the world as Sporty, Baby, Posh, Scary and Ginger were reunited for the London 2012 closing ceremony.

The crowd at the Olympic stadium went crazy as they sped through their energetic dance routine.

In particular, London Mayor Boris Johnson was spotted going wild in the audience while Prime Minister David Cameron was seen jigging in the VIP seats.


The quintet looked at ease performing Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life 

It's thought this will be the last time the girls will perform together 

One billion spectators, watching on TV around the world, tuned in to see their star turn 

The quintet looked to be in their element 

Even Victoria Beckham, gorgeous in a strapless black Giles Deacon dress with flowing train, looked to be enjoying herself 

"It's all pink tonight baby," tweeted Emma before going out on stage 

It was the first time that they had performed together since 2008, during their reunion tour 

The fab five made their entrance on London taxi cabs which represented their different personalities 

Emma Bunton stayed true to her baby roots in a pink minidress 

"That was amazing": Geri thanked fans after the gig 

Victoria posted this cute picture after the friends stormed the stage 

Melanie Chisholm, who opted for a sleek white jumpsuit, gives it her all 

Victoria was thrilled with the girls' performance. She tweeted afterwards: "We did it!! I love u girls so much!!!!! xxx vb" 

The band ended their set to rapturous applause
