Sofia Vergara's sea-inspired sequins propel her to best dressed at the Emmys

04 OCTOBER 2012

Amongst the plethora stars vying for best dressed at the 2012 Emmys Awards, Sofia Vergara has emerged victorious in our HELLO! Online vote.

The beautiful Modern Family star led the sea-inspired brigade in an aqua hand-beaded Zuhair Murad gown that hugged her killer curves to perfection.

Her victory in our best dressed poll caps a successful Emmys for the actress.

Sofia was the centre of attention at this year's show, bringing her unique brand of "latin power" to the awards by indulging in an energetic dance routine.

Even though her dress ripped in a compromising place, she still secured her place as your favourite.

Snapping at Sofia's heels was Heidi Klum, who came in second place. The mum-of-four showed off acres of shapely pins in a sea-foam Alexandre Vauthier column that was split to the thigh.

Heidi had been hoping her reality show Project Runway would turn a nomination into an award in the Outstanding Reality-Competition Programme category.

It wasn't to be, but her dress has certainly proved a winner.

Rounding out the top three was Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt, who stars as Anna Bates in the show.

Joanne's muted beige number was the perfect contrast to the dazzling greens chosen by Sofia and Heidi. Her understated choice earned her bronze in our poll.

Completing the line up was Kelly Osbourne, who looked a million dollars with her lilac hair and matching Zac Posen gown.

The 27-year-old was no doubt helped into the top spot by her pricey manicure. Kelly was wearing the most expensive nail polish in the world, by Los Angeles-based luxury jeweller Azature.

The hefty price tag of $250,000, is thanks to the 267-carat diamonds that are sprinkled through the black lacquer.
