Pals Jessica and Jennifer share the love and support the power of women

Having starred in rom-com Valentine's Day together, Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner's admiration for each other was clear at Variety's 4th Annual Power of Women event on Friday.

The glamorous Hollywood stars embraced as Jennifer presented her friend's award at the luncheon that honours philanthropic and charitable efforts.

But the ladies' respective partners were not far from their side at the event, with Jennifer's husband Ben Affleck also presenting an award, this time to Warner Bros' Worldwide Marketing President, Sue Kroll.

Held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles, the prestigious occasion also welcomed such powerful female a-listers as Katherine Heigl, Halle Berry, Felicity Huffman and Queen Latifah.

Jennifer presented Jessica with the award that acknowledges her work with charity: Water, which aims to get fresh water to those who need it most. Jessica commented: "It's a basic, human need and right to be able to live in a place that provides clean water, and it's astronomical the amount of people who don't have access to that. That's why it's important to me."

The ladies brought style and sophistication to the event that celebrates good causes, aiming to inspire and encourage people from all walks of life to make a difference

Joined by her husband Olivier Martinez, Halle Berry's charitble causes include: Afghanistan Relief Organisation, Diabetes Aware, Make-A-Wish and Stand Up To Cancer amongst many others.
