01 APRIL 2013

Hilaria Baldwin was positively glowing as she threw an early surprise birthday party for her husband Alec on Sunday.

The yoga instructor, 28, who is due to give birth this summer, tweeted: "Happy early birthday @iamabfalecbaldwin", to the 30 Rock actor, who turns 55 on Wednesday.

During the party, proud Hilaria showed off her blossoming baby bump in a fitted black lycra top, encouraging friends to tickle and talk to her tummy. "Future aunt and uncle @dannydeemsit talking to little pitufina", she tweeted, using her native Spanish to refer to her baby as 'cutie'.

Alec also shared a photo of himself smiling contentedly, holding a healthy dessert of strawberries, apples and pomegranate, lit up by birthday candles: "❤@ABFalecbaldwin: Someone special put together an early birthday party for me....."

The pair, who got hitched in June 2012 after a three-month engagement, revealed that they were expecting their first child together in February. And it seems that they are as happy as ever. "A year ago my husband asked me to marry him...shortly after a wedding now a baby...life is beautiful!" said another caption.

A yoga teacher, it's only natural that Hilaria hopes her little one will be a yogi, too. "She's gonna be our little yogini!" wrote Alec's beautiful brunette wife, with a picture of a pink baby grow. "M was my first word!" reads the adorable baby outfit.

Alec Baldwin, who has a daughter, Ireland, 17, from his marriage to actress Kim Bassinger, has recently shown his modern side. Speaking to Wonderwall in June ahead of his star-studded nuptials, the actor said, "I want to have a baby and stay at home and make the pancakes before I send my wife out to work every day to pay the bills!"

The actor has undergone a lifestyle change since getting together with Hilaria, who is 26 years his junior. Not only has she got him doing yoga workouts, but, she says, "We stock up on blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries, almond milk, quinoa, almonds, and apples," which explains the incredibly healthy and yummy-looking birthday dessert.
