Kim Kardashian's divorce is finalised as she prepares for arrival of baby girl

05 JUNE 2013

Kim Kardashian, who is pregnant with her first child with partner Kanye West, will be delighted that she is officially a single lady.

The reality star is now no longer married to Kris Humphries after a judgment was entered on Monday night in Los Angeles Superior Court and their divorce was finalised.

Kim, 32, filed for divorce in 2011 – a move that shocked her then-husband Kris. "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce," the NBA player said upon hearing the news.

The former couple, who were married for 72 days, reached a settlement agreement in April, but were waiting for the final step that would officially end the marriage.

Although the terms of the divorce have not been revealed, it is known that the pair did have a prenuptial agreement.

As Kim prepares for the arrival of her baby daughter together with rapper beau Kanye, due in July, the timing couldn't be more perfect.

The designer is obviously delighted at the news of being free to move on and potentially marry the father of her baby, Kanye, posting on Twitter "So much has changed…". She also shared a picture of a huge bunch of beautiful roses that she had received as a gift on Wednesday. The caption said: "Always making me feel special for no reason".

The end of the era with ex Kris Humphries comes just after Kim's fairytale baby shower on Sunday, where the Kardashian clan celebrated the upcoming arrival of her baby with a star-studded bash.

Kim looked like the picture-perfect mum-to-be in a flowing white gown and long brunette tresses falling over her shoulders. She shared a picture of her chosen outfit – 'Yesterday's look' – on Tuesday, showing her standing in a luxury bathroom, both hands cupping her baby bump to show it off to the full.

She was clearly delighted by the baby bash, tweeting later on Sunday: "Truly such a special day. I honestly feel so blessed and filled with so much love!"
