Heidi Klum is all smiles with boyfriend Martin Kristen days after public row

12 JUNE 2013

Strolling along hand-in-hand through the streets of New York on Tuesday afternoon, Heidi Klum and her boyfriend Martin Kristen looked like any other couple in the early stages of their romance.

Smiling broadly, the German model held on tightly to her man as they visited shops in the Big Apple before stopping off for a romantic lunch together at Pastis restaurant. Of course their presence didn't go unnoticed, and bodyguard Martin protectively kept his famous girlfriend close as they walked amongst excited passersby.

Currently the couple are making the most of some alone time while Heidi's four children visit their father Seal in Australia.

The British singer has been reunited with Leni, nine, Henry, seven, Johan, six and Lou, three Down Under, where he is filming as a judge for The Voice Australia.

Seal and Heidi were married for nearly seven years before they announced their split in January 2012. Heidi filed for divorce three months later.

She went on to find love with her former bodyguard Martin, and the couple started dating in September of last year.

Their obvious happiness during the shopping excursions comes days after Heidi and Martin had a heated lover's tiff in public on Sunday evening.

According to numerous reports, the couple were at The Spotted Pig bar in the West Village with a male friend — thought to be her fellow Germany's Next Top Model judge Thomas Hayo — when things turned sour and they got into a spat.

"All couples have disagreements, but most don't get recognized when they have them," a friend of the pair told the New York Post the following day.

Happily it seems everything is back on track for the smitten star and her bodyguard.
