Charlotte Casiraghi's ex Alex Dellal becomes a father

04 JULY 2013

Charlotte Casiraghi's ex Alex Dellal and his fiancée Elisa Sednaoui have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Jack Zeitoun Dellal.

The model, who has fronted campaigns for Roberto Cavalli and Chanel, gave birth on 31 May.

Speaking exclusively to close friend Julia Restoin Roitfeld, who has a blog for young mothers called Rommy and the Bunnies, Elisa revealed she was "in complete awe" when she first saw her baby.

"I was, and still am, in complete awe in front of this miracle. He was finally there, in my arms, so small, so soft, so real. It was pure love at first sight. We still have to discover everything about each other but I feel as if I had always known him," she told romyandthebunnies.com.

Talking about her pregnancy journey she said: "The most difficult for me were the first 3 months, as I felt really exhausted and very hormonal. I guess it is difficult for women who are used to a very dynamic lifestyle to adjust to this new 'state'.

"Your body is at the service of someone else, and this makes you understand immediately that nothing will ever be the same," she continued.

Alex Dellal and Elisa's happy news comes just a week after Charlotte Casiraghi sparked pregnancy rumours  when she stepped out with a fuller figure than usual at a show jumping event in Monaco.

The stunning royal, who split from Alex at the beginning of last year and is currently dating French comedy actor Gad Elmaleh, sported an ivory-coloured jacket which seemed to show the beginnings of a baby bump.

While there has been no comment from the Palace, the fashionable royal's stance, with her hands resting protectively by her rounded tummy, suggested that there might be a little one on the way later this year.
