While in their youth an after party might have lasted well into the night, the rock legends partied until the relatively early hour of 1.30am on Saturday.

Keith Richards, 69, did not attend the party but was seen leaving Hyde Park in his dressing gown - suggesting he was very much ready for bed.

Mick, however, was in the mood to celebrate and led his friends to the dance floor in a suave maroon suit and white shirt.

The birthday boy was joined by his partner, L’Wren Scott, who looked stunning in a long red dress and heels.

Ronnie Wood, 66, was also in attendance with wife Sally Humphries - they were the first to leave at 1.15am.

Among the younger crowd were children Jade, James, Elizabeth and Georgia May as well as granddaughter Amba Jackson

Fine jewellery designer, Jade, 41, set the fashion stakes in a tailored black suit with a white crochet long-sleeved top and shorts.

Model, Elizabeth, 29, went for a more overt ensemble, in a Fuchsia chiffon blouse, bright purple velvet trousers, and a pair of black lace-up shoes.

Georgia May, in contrast, dressed down for the event in a small red crop top, tie-dye dungaree shorts and black platform trainers.

The 21-year-old model was effortlessly chic with her long blonde locks loose, wearing a pair of round sunglasses and her special access pass.

Her brother James, 27, was also at the London club as well as granddaughter Amba Jackson, 17, who smiled for cameras outside the party.

In addition to his family, Mick was joined by a number of famous friends such as Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick, Ronnie Wood's son Tyrone Wood, actress Jaime Winstone and her actor boyfriend Alfie Allen, actress Alice Eve, and his bandmate, drummer Charlie Watts.

Sir Mick officially turns 70 on 26th July, although he saw the end of The Stones' 50 & Counting tour as the perfect chance to celebrate reaching his landmark birthday.
