Selena Gomez sparkles to celebrate sport at LA awards

Selena Gomez sparkled at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening.The pop star, 20, turned heads in a red lace and beaded number that showed off her toned, tanned legs.Bright red lips and her magnificent brunette curls finished off the fiery look, along with pointy black stilettos.

The Come & Get It singer was one of the presenters of the show that recognises achievements in the sports field and gave the award for best breakthrough athlete to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick .Ben Affleck was another star to hit the stage, looking handsome in a charcoal grey checkered suit and black tie. The Argo director presented the Jimmy V Perseverance Award to Team Hoyt, a father who has pushed his son with cerebral palsy at the Boston Marathon for more than 30 years.Ben, 40, was clearly proud to present the meaningful award, taking the opportunity to lean down to whisper a special congratulatory message to son Rick.

The same day that her husband was among many of the world's top athletes at LA's Nokia Theatre, Jennifer Garner treated their daughters Violet, 7, and Seraphina, 4, to some ice cream at a local Baskin Robbins shop.

With the 41-year-old actress recently displaying a slightly growing tummy, rumour has it that the handsome couple may be adding to the family. Jennifer's publicist has however denied reports of a pregnancy.

The wide world of sports exchanged their sports gear for stunning gowns and suits and ties at the 21st edition of The ESPY, where Jon Hamm hosted the night's festivities.

Olympic swimer Michael Phelps, tennis ace Maria Sharapova, track and field athlete Lolo Jones and Olympic gymnast Gabrielle Douglas were just some of the sports stars to don their best for the awards.
