Lego recreates moment the world met baby Prince George

For those of us who want to remember the first moment Prince William and Kate Middleton introduced their son Prince George on the steps outside the Lindo Wing, the historic moment has been captured for posterity – thanks to Lego.

A scene similar to that when the Cambridge family stepped into the spotlight for the first time to face the world, hoards of press, camera crews and crowds of well-wishers has been reconstructed using mini building bricks.

Adorable mini versions of new parents William and Kate have been created with a tiny baby Cambridge in a buggy, and the scene isn't too far from reality – photographers and their equipment have even been included.

The royal Lego sets show scenes of baby George with his mum and dad at the gates of Buckingham Palace rather than outside the Lindo Wing, perhaps because that scene is still to come…

Mini baby Cambridge is dressed in blue, just as his mum and dad were when they introduced their baby to the world on Tuesday

Capturing the essence of the iconic moment which had press camped outside the Lindo Wing for days, camera crews have been recreated in mini building blocks, even with their cameras and equipment

Scenes at the gates of Buckingham Palace show the easel that announced the birth of Prince George, who was born at 4.24pm on Monday, weighing 8lb 6oz

A bird's eye view of the mini Lego version of William and Kate with baby George at the gates of Buckingham Palace, although he was shown to the world for the first time from St Mary's Hospital in Paddington

Royal well-wishers, cameramen and even a Police Officer's motorbike have been captured in this adorable mini setting
