"HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my amazing super daughter Ever Gabo Jovovich-Anderson!!! She's 6 today and making me prouder and prouder everyday!" wrote Milla.

The mother-of-one shared ethereal pictures on her Instagram page, much to the delight of her fans, and looked to be getting into the fairy and mermaid themed party.

Dressed in a cute mustard gingham dress, Milla donned a pair of fairy wings and a party hat made of balloons. Ever matched her mother with pink wings and looked adorable in her purple mermaid outfit.

The mother-daughter duo joked around with Ever's father and Milla's husband, director Paul Anderson, with Milla posting snapshots of the happy family on the social media site.

"Ever's awesome bday party! Ever is clowning with a schoolfriend in this shot!" wrote Milla.

The brunette beauty and her husband transformed what looked to be their back garden into an enchanted wonderland, and tied dozens of coloured balloons to the trees.

"Balloon mermaid at the bday party! #happybdayever," posted Milla, next to a particularly impressive balloon structure.

Marquees were set up around the garden, and large blossoming pink flower decorations dotted the outside space.

The group of youngsters, who were all dressed as fairies or mermaids, looked to be enjoying the fun and games in the garden and happily beamed for the cameras.

Ever's birthday party seemed to go to plan, as Milla ended her string of tweets thanking the birthday party organisers.
