Hip hop bump photoshoot: Ciara playfully shows off pregnancy curves

05 FEBRUARY 2014 Inspired by one of her favourite hip hop tracks, Ciara has showcased her baby bump in a series of Instagram snaps.

The mum-to-be is the image of urban cool in a beanie hat, black vest top and bling jewellery – including her huge diamond engagement ring from her rapper fiancé Future.

She captions each image with lyrics from Digital Planets 1990s hit I'm Slick (Cool Like Dat).

In one, she flashes peace signs at the camera and writes: "I'm Peace Like That". In another, she pouts with her eyes shut and the caption reads: "I'm Cool Like That".

Ciara has never revealed exactly when her bundle of joy is due to make an entrance, though she is "not too far off being in the delivery room".

The singer has also decided to keep the gender of her baby under wraps, saying: "I want to keep that special".

She did reveal that her other half "got what he wanted", though declined to say whether that was a boy or a girl.

Ciara only revealed last month that she's expecting with her music star fiancé. She debuted her bump on US TV show The View after months of pregnancy rumours.

Ciara got engaged to music producer Future – real name Nayvadius Cash – in October.

The rapper proposed on Ciara's 28 October birthday, presenting her with a huge diamond ring which has drawn comparisons with the sparkler with which Kris Humpries presented Kim Kardashian.

The couple are keeping their plans for the big day under wraps, but Ciara has said of their nuptials: "The cool thing is that with my wedding plans we had already planned awhile ago and they happened in perfect order and conjunction to me having my baby so it's perfect."
