Cheryl Cole prefers compliments from women rather than men

Cheryl Cole has said she prefers to receive compliments from women because she feels they are more sincere.

The former Girls Aloud singer admitted that while the males in her life certainly have an opinion on how she looks, she would much rather have a lady tell her that she looks good.

"I find compliments from women are far more genuine than from men," the singer told the Sunday Mirror. "If a guy says, 'You look hot', that doesn't do it for me. I much prefer a woman to say it."

Cheryl added that she feels more comfortable in her own skin since her milestone birthday last June."

I'm 30 now and I look totally different to how I looked when I was 20, and that's a good thing," she said.

"I actually wear far less makeup now. When I was younger I was wanting to feel like a woman. Now I'm in my 30s, I know that comes from inside, not something on the surface. Now I think, 'This is the real me. This is how I look'."

Cheryl made a triumphant return to the music scene on Saturday night with an electric performance during the Britain's Got Talent final. She sang her brand new single Crazy Stupid Love for the first time on TV, joined by Tinie Tempah and a troupe of backing dancers.

Cheryl looked better than ever, showing off her washboard abs in a crop top as she danced around on stage to the catchy track.Afterwards, she was spotted leaving the ITV studio with her new boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The couple have been dating for around one month, and have quickly become inseparable; Cheryl's mum Joan Callaghan and best friends Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts were also in attendance, suggesting the handsome Frenchman has already been introduced to Cheryl's inner circle.
