Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: what's next for the newlyweds

03 SEPTEMBER 2014

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are preparing for their next joint venture – filming a movie in Malta – just days after they tied the knot in France.

The Hollywood power couple have been on the go since they married on 23 August in an emotional family ceremony which is pictured exclusively in this week's HELLO! magazine.

Shortly after the wedding, Brad flew to the UK to attend a photocall for his new action movie Fury, where he was first photographed with his wedding band. His next stop was New York, where he shot an advert with Robert De Niro.

The 50-year-old hunk will soon be reunited with his wife in Malta and the couple are said to be taking their six children to the Mediterranean island.

The happy family plan to stay on Gozo island where Angelina will direct and star – alongside Brad – in her independent film By The Sea.

Brad and Angelina will play the protagonists in a love story about a married couple – roles they are definitely qualified for given their new status as husband and wife. The project will be their first time on screen together since Mr. and Mrs. Smith back in 2004, the film on which they met.

Shooting will mainly take place in a huge seafront house, which has been erected on a cliff in Gozo to recreate the French Riviera.

According to reports, the Pitt-Jolie family will stay in Malta for around eight weeks, spending some time on a yacht to allow them more privacy and the chance to explore the gorgeous coastline.

The exact plot of the film is being kept under wraps, but much like Mr. and Mrs. Smith, it is said to feature scenes that reflect the couple's great chemistry in real life.
