McBusted have confirmed on Twitter that they will be doing a tour next year, in what was possibly "the worst kept secret" in the entertainment industry. The supergroup – made up of McFly's Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd and Busted's James Bourne and Matt Willis – will hold concerts around the UK in March and April 2015, much like they did this year. The six-man band will be playing classic tunes from both groups, plus new material from McBusted's debut album which is set for release in December.

"We can't wait to get back on the road! YEAH!" the band captioned a Facebook image of their official tour photo on Tuesday. Echoing their news on Twitter, McBusted wrote: "It's possibly the worst kept secret in entertainment, but we are so stoked to announce the #McBusted2015Tour!!!" The tour will kick off in Glasgow and travel around other major cities including Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool, before heading back down to London and Bournemouth, passing through the Midlands.

McBusted's announcement had their loyal fans whooping with joy, and band members took to their personal accounts to share the exciting news. "Did somebody say TOURRRRR???" Danny wrote alongside an Instagram selfie. "It's happening!!!! TOUR 2015!!!!" Tom, who is dad to seven-month-old son Buzz, captioned his Instagram snap. James, likewise, shared a photo of the silver-haired band member striking a pose and wrote: "Let's launch a tour .... Again."

At the time of the supergroup's launch last year, Tom, 29, reassured viewers on Daybreak that there was "never any rivalry" between Busted and McFly before they joined forces. "Behind-the-scenes we wrote on each other's albums and toured with each other," he said. Harry added that the group had calmed down since their raucous days. "We're quite grown up and boring to be perfectly honest," the 28-year-old singer said. "There's kids, there's marriage, it's really not going to be that crazy."
