Tara Palmer-Tomkinson cautioned by police over 'disturbance' at Heathrow

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has been cautioned by police after an incident at Heathrow Airport. The 42-year-old socialite was arrested by armed officers after causing a "disturbance" when she was refused access to a first-class lounge, the Sun reports.

Video footage filmed by an onlooker on Saturday shows Tara in tears and reacting angrily when confronted by officers.

Following her arrest, Tara – who has battled drug addiction in the past – clarified that her behaviour was triggered by a panic attack."I wasn't drunk, there was no disorderly," she told the newspaper. "I was cautioned, I saw a doctor, they were nice to me. "She has since flown to Switzerland, where she will celebrate her 43rd birthday on December 23.

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: "Police at Heathrow Terminal 5 were made aware of a disturbance in the forecourt of the building at approximately 3.30pm on Saturday, December 20."Officers arrived at the scene and arrested a 42-year-old woman. She was taken to a west London police station and subsequently accepted a caution under section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986."
