Samantha and husband Torray Scales, a US cop, met in 2011 and married the following year. This is the pair's first child together, although Samantha is also the step-mother to Torray's son.

She previously revealed to the Irish Mirror that she wouldn't rule out a return to her homeland of Ireland: "I love being home. When I spend a bit of time at home it’s always hard coming back to America. But I’m married, so it’s not just my decision now moving forward."
