Kris Jenner reunited with ex Caitlyn for first time since transition

It's been a difficult few months for Caitlyn Jenner, who made her debut as a woman in a very public manner. Her transition was an inspiration to thousands of transgender people around the world, but it was something that Caitlyn's ex-wife Kris Jenner took time to digest.

Showing that she was ready to meet the new Caitlyn, Kris agreed to meet up with her former love on Tuesday.

The "momager" was spotted pulling out of Caitlyn's driveway in her black Cadillac Escalade after a two-hour visit.

Kris Jenner "didn't want her first meeting to be televised"

Their lengthy meeting was reportedly the first time that Kris, 59, came face to face with her ex-husband since she has identified as Caitlyn. Kris had previously visited Caitlyn when she was going through her transition – but still referred to herself as Bruce.

"Kris isn't at a place yet where she wants her first meeting with Caitlyn to be televised," a source told Hollywood Life last week. "The whole thing is still so out of her comfort level. This is the person Kris was married to and had children with. Interacting with Caitlyn is not something she's come to terms with."

The ex-couple were married for 24 years after their divorce was finalised in March. They are parents to model Kendall, 19, and 17-year-old Kylie.

Caitlyn Jenner has said she would "never trade" the good times she had with Kris

Tweeting last month, Caitlyn, who made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair, sweetly wrote: "Reading the VF article reminded me of the love & good times Kris & I shared for so many years. Wouldn't trade that time for anything!"

The Jenner and Kardashian families have supported Caitlyn wholeheartedly and spent Father's Day with her. They also rallied together to cheer on the inspirational star at the ESPY Awards, where Caitlyn was honoured with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award – and also made her first red-carpet appearance.

While Kris has been absent from Caitlyn's momentous events, she has supported her in spirit. "I think it was amazing and very brave," Kris told Us Weekly of Caitlyn's poignant acceptance speech, which brought the crowds to their feet.

Of the star's glamorous appearance in a white Versace gown, Kris added: "I think she looked beautiful."
