Peter Andre started off Strictly Come Dancing’s first weekend with a bang. The Mysterious Girl singer did not disappoint fans when he took to the stage to perform the Cha Cha on Saturday evening with his partner Janette Manrara.The star received a standing ovation from the audience for his high energy performance. "That was hot, you raised the roof in the studio," commented co-host Tess Daley. The judges were also impressed with Peter’s slick moves.

Len gave the couple high praise for their dance saying it was “the best dance of the two nights”. Judge Craig Revel Horwood agreed adding, “That was a show stopper but you’ve got to get that hip action. It was sharp, it was clean, you rocked it darling.”Responding to the judge's comments the father-of-three was in shock. "Absolutely speechless what could you ask for." The judges then awarded the reality TV star 30 points for the dance, putting him at the top of the leader board.Former The Wanted star Jay McGuinness also impressed the judges with his Cha Cha alongside his professional partner Aliona Vilani. However, TV presenter Kirsty Gallagher missed the mark with her classic Waltz.

Craig Revel Horwood didn’t hold back with his critique. "The flow of steps were stilted…there were balance issues. Brenden covered the whole dance very well." Judge Bruno Tonioli wasn’t impressed with the 39-year-old’s footwork but remained optimistic. "Your feet were all over the place. I’m sure you’ll do better. There’s always tomorrow.
