Two years after their marriage broke down, Anthea Turner and Grant Bovey have filed the paperwork for a divorce. The estranged couple have applied to the Central Family Court in London for a 'decree nisi'. If the judge agrees their union will be officially over in six weeks with the granting of a 'decree absolute'.

Despite the difficult circumstances, the TV presenter looked positive and on good form when she stepped out to a fragrance launch this week. She is even ready to find love again. Anthea, 55, recently appeared on the programme First Dates, in which celebrities were matched with potential suitors for charity.

The elegant blonde had supper with a city banker called Jeremy, whom she described as "charming" but "a bit too well behaved for me". Before that she dated Dragon's Den star Richard Farleigh for a year.

In a bid to remain upbeat she has also been on several adventures including taking part in The Jump and travelling to Lapland.

It's a far cry from when the split actually took place, amid the couple's financial problems and Grant's close friendship with 25-year-old socialite Zoe De Mallet Morgan. Anthea tried to rebuild the marriage, but eventually decided to make a clean break.

On her first holiday away by herself in 13 years she cried all the way to the Gatwick Airport. She admitted to HELLO! that the end of the union had taken it's toll on her health and she had lost a stone in weight.

"I'm normally healthy and very robust, but I didn't have any energy and felt tired all the time. The lack of sleep was the worst part. I slept for only about three hours a night as my mind was racing all the time and I just couldn't switch off. "Having got back to her best, Anthea said she is confident about the future. "This is an unusual time in my life. I've come out of a long marriage and I'm in a transitional period. I am an eternal optimist and I will love again. Although it's been the toughest two years of my life, I've learnt so much from it all."
