Simon Cowell shared an adorable photo of his son Eric and his little teddy bear in the famous X Factor seats on Friday. The proud father-of-one Tweeted the sweet snap with the caption: "Getting in some practice."

The TV judge and partner Lauren Silverman welcomed little Eric on Valentine's Day and it's clear to see that Simon has taken to parenthood well.

The inseparable pair are spending a lot of father-son time together lately, with the TV mogul sharing a photo of them watching The Jungle Book at home. He told fans: "Happiness is a day off work."

It seems Simon is enjoying family life with Lauren and their 21-month-old boy after losing his beloved mother Julie earlier this year, leading him to dedicate his Music Industry Trust Award to both his late mother and father in November.

However, before the father and son formed their unbreakable bond, Simon said that at first he thought the baby didn't like him. "He wasn't reacting to me and I thought maybe he hates me," he admitted during an interview on Good Morning Britain.

"And they said, 'No, take your time', because once he gets a bit older (everything will change)." Simon continued: "And then suddenly one day they are talking, listening, responding , and now talking to him, communicating, whole different ball game, and they sort of become a bit like you."

According to Lauren, the 56-year-old wants to have a daughter. "We’ll definitely have more children," Lauren told the Daily Mirror. "I would like one more. Simon wants a girl very badly."

His fatherly side also extends to contestants. In an exclusive interview with HELLO! 17-year-old X Factor sensation Louisa Johnson reveals that the mogul has taken her under his wing. "I love Simon," Louisa confided. "I feel a bit like he's my dad – he talks to me and asks how I'm doing and if I need anything. He's lovely."
