David Beckham has had some very special help as he gears up for Christmas. He has enlisted the help of their cute family dog Olive for the merry occasion. The adorable cocker spaniel has become part of the Beckham family and that means joining in with selfies and all the festive fun.

The former footballer shared his excitement for the holiday season as he uploaded a photo of himself and Olive, showing the dog sweetly dressed in a festive outfit with a bobble hat on Monday.

But it isn't just the father-of-four who is getting into the festive spirit, his wife Victoria and youngest child Harper spent some mother-daughter time baking cookies on Saturday.

The fashion designer Tweeted a sweet photo of their delicious baked goods and wrote: "Harper has had a busy Saturday baking cookies!"

David, 40, dressed their pet dog up for Christmas on the same day the proud parents revealed that one of their sons, Romeo, wanted to give up football to pursue other interests. His iconic father told the Radio Times, "The other day Romeo turned around to me and said he didn't want to play football anymore. Part of me was devastated but part of me was relieved too.

"He's got other passions and I like that," the football legend explained. It seems Romeo will be following his mother into the world of fashion, modelling clothes for Burberry. The couple's eldest son, Brooklyn, has also developed a keen interest away from football, with David confirming that "photography is his passion" – a fact clearly evident on the 16-year-old's Instagram account.

However, the happy couple's only daughter told her mother she wanted to "play football" instead of pursuing a fashion career, which Victoria admitted felt like a "dagger through the heart."

"I have three boys that want to play football," Victoria previously told Vogue. "You know, come on, let one of them want to be in fashion or dance. I would rather she go into fashion than be in a pop group, I have to say," she added. "But I did have fun doing that."

The former Spice Girl may be closer to her dance dreams for her daughter as she shared an adorable photo of Harper at a ballerina class, showing the four-year-old in a leotard, skirt and ballet shoes.

The 41-year-old uploaded the photo on Instagram and wrote: "Mummy is so proud of her little ballerina X X"
