All Mariah Carey wants for Christmas is some family time with her twins Moroccan and Monroe! The Fantasy singer has revealed she is excited for the holidays this year, as her children are now old enough to enjoy it more.

Speaking to Ross King on ITV's Lorraine, Mariah explained: "Christmas is the best time of the year for me. Even better with having the twins, absolutely, couldn't be better.

Mariah Carey said she's excited to celebrate Christmas with her twins

"[I'm] so excited for them to have Christmas this year, they really finally understand a little bit more about the holiday. I'm like finally! They're only four."

While the singer hasn't opened up about how she will spend the holidays, it is likely she will come together with ex-husband Nick Cannon for a family Christmas. The former couple recently united to celebrate Thanksgiving together, with Nick telling Ellen DeGeneres that they will "always be a family" despite their split.

He explained: "It's just so important when, if a marriage does not work out and you have kids, to show them love and not have somebody talking badly about the other person it's great."

Christmas could also present the opportunity for Nick to meet Mariah's new boyfriend James Packer. Mariah has been dating the Australian businessman since June, and Nick recently expressed his desire to meet her new man during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I haven't. I want to though," Nick said. "I think that would be cool. It's still like, we've talked about it and stuff, it seems like it's cool."

Mariah has lots to look forward to in the New Year too, after announcing her first European tour in 13 years. The 45-year-old will kick start the Sweet, Sweet Fantasy tour in Glasgow, before touring across the UK and Europe in March and April.

Speaking about the announcement to Ross King, Mariah explained: "They can expect lots of songs that hopefully I'm going to research what songs were big in what territories and have those songs especially for those fans.

"And you know a really good show, I'm trying to put on a show that people will enjoy and be close to the fans and relate to them... not everybody is so close to their fans. I have a very special relationship with my fans, so I'm looking forward to it!"
