Louis Tomlinson is overjoyed about becoming a father and is determined to be as involved as possible in the life of his baby son. True to his word, he was spotted arriving to spend time with the little boy and his mother Briana Jungwirth over the weekend along with a friend. The visit came as the Sun reported that the One Direction star will be paying £10,000 per month in child support, amounting to £2 million over his lifetime.

The Yorkshire lad has also reportedly bought a house for the LA-based stylist and relocated stateside so that he can be near the baby. Louis and his ex Briana have not yet revealed the name they have chosen for the baby. However he did confirm that the child was born on Friday 22 January.

"I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and pretty amazing, I’m very happy," he wrote on Twitter at lunch time on Saturday, which is 4am in California.

The 24-year-old followed up the tweet with another featuring smiley faces and the lyrics "Daddy daddy cool," from the Boney M song.

Louis will be balancing his responsibilities with seeing new girlfriend Danielle Campbell. Over the holidays and in the last weeks he has been dating the 20-year-old actress, even visiting her home state Illinois.

A source close to the star has told the Daily Mail that the end of his relationship with Briana has not affected his desire to be the best dad possible: "Although they’re not romantically involved, Louis thinks Briana is a great woman and will be a fabulous mother. Louis has been helping Briana financially and is prepared to get stuck in with all the tasks that caring for a baby demands."
