Messages of congratulations are being sent to Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch ahead of their lavish ceremony on Saturday. Among those wishing the couple well is Piers Morgan, a friend of media mogul Rupert since his early days in journalism. "I'd like wish my ex boss @rupertmurdoch all the best for his marriage to Jerry Hall tomorrow," he tweeted. “Never seen him look so happy."

They will then celebrate their nuptials on Saturday 5 March with a blessing at St Bride's Church on Fleet Street in London – appropriately known as the Journalists' Church.

Piers Morgan is among those who have sent their best wishes to the couple

It will no doubt be a star-studded affair. According to reports, all six of the couple's daughter will be bridesmaids at the service – Rupert and Jerry have 10 children between them; she has two daughters with Mick Jagger, Georgia May, 24, and Elizabeth, 32, while the billionaire's eldest daughters Prudence, 57, and Elizabeth, 47, will attend the wedding alongside his younger children, Grace, 14, and Chloe, 12, from his marriage with Wendi Deng.

Jerry and Rupert went public with their romance in October

Jerry and Rupert were introduced in Australia last year by his family, and went public with their relationship in October when they attended the Rugby World Cup final together at Twickenham.They announced their engagement in the births, deaths and marriages section of The Times – one of Rupert's own newspapers – in January. A spokesperson said: "They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future."
