Amber Heard's 2015 income has been disclosed after she filed for spousal support from her husband Johnny Depp. The Rum Diaries actress is seeking $50,000 (£34,500) a month from Johnny, who is worth an estimated $400million (£276million), but has claimed her domestic abuse allegations against the star are not financially motivated.

According to court papers obtained by People, Amber earned a total of $259,876 (£179,683) in 2015. The earnings came from acting projects such as The Danish Girl, for which she was paid $31,112 (£21,523) and Paranoia, for which she was paid $45,314 (£31,355).

Amber also earned $120,000 (£83,000) for her work with jewellery brand Tiffany, and a further $50,000 (£34,592) from Bulgari. In addition, the 30-year-old received residual fees from her films Machete Kills ($2,390) and The Rum Diaries ($2,472).

However the court papers show that Amber has numerous expenses including agent fees and car payments, meaning she banked a total of $51,461 (£35,618) in 2015. In comparison, Johnny is estimated to have earned $30million (£20.75m) in the same time.

Amber filed for divorce from Johnny on 23 May, citing irreconcilable differences. The Pineapple Express actress was later granted a restraining order, after claiming that there had been three cases of domestic abuse in the last six months, with an event in December 2015 that made her "truly fear that my life was in danger".

Johnny has dismissed the allegations, and has reportedly asked the judge to reject Amber's request for spousal support. The 52-year-old has hired top US lawyer Laura Wasser, who said that Amber had made the abuse allegations in an attempt to "secure a premature financial resolution" from the divorce.

A statement released by Amber's lawyers on Tuesday disputed the claims, saying: "Amber is simply a victim of domestic violence, and none of her actions are motivated by money. Amber is a brave and financially independent woman who is showing the courage of her convictions by doing the right thing against Johnny's relentless army of lawyers and surrogates."

The actress also said that she previously avoided giving an official statement to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) to "protect her privacy and Johnny's career".
