Stars have smashing time at pre-Wimbledon tournament

Next week the eyes of the tennis world will focus on SW19. But as the perfect appetiser for Wimbledon, celebrities were in a different corner of South West London on Wednesday to watch players in action at the Tennis Classic at the much loved Hurlingham Club.

The impressive line-up on the grass courts in Fulham saw four of the world's top ten players in action - Kei Nishikori (World No.6), Milos Raonic (World No.7), Tomáš Berdych (World No.9) and Richard Gasquet (World No. 10).

Guests including Sol Campbell, Kara Rose Marshall, Dougie Poynter, Stephen and Assia Webster, Sarah Ann Macklin, Craig McGinley, Amanda Eliasch, Laura Doggett, Kathy Lette, Julius Robertson and Honeysuckle Weeks attended the opening day, which combines world-class tennis with first-class hospitality.

Set in the tranquil 42-acre grounds of The Hurlingham Club, The Tennis classic has become one of the most intimate tennis events in the social calendar, showcasing some of the current stars of today, playing in a series of singles exhibition matches as they finalise their preparations ahead of Wimbledon, as well as a number of tennis legends.

Joining the ATP players are a number of world-class tennis legends. The line-up includes former British No.1 and US Open Finalist Greg Rusedski, Wimbeldon and US Open finalist Mark Philippoussis, Australian Open finalist Thomas Enqvist, Fabrice Santoro, Sebastien Grosjean, as well as the jester of the court - Mansour Bahrami.
