Dan Osborne remembers Jacqueline Jossa proposal with romantic throwback picture

Just over a year after he popped the question, Dan Osborne has taken a look back at his proposal to Jacqueline Jossa. Former The Only Way Is Essex cast member Dan got down on one knee in front of the EastEnders actress's entire family while on holiday in Greece in June 2015 – and, luckily for him, she said yes!

Dan, 25, took to Twitter to mark the memory, sharing a gorgeous photo of the duo kissing against a backdrop of the Mediterranean sea. He wrote alongside it: "This doesn't need a filter… I love this picture of me and @jacquelineMjos from when we got engaged… #LuckyMan."

Jacqueline's sister Katrina was getting married in Greece when Dan decided to take the plunge. Opening up about the moment later, he insisted he knew it's what Jacqueline would have wanted.

Speaking to Now, he explained: "I knew Jacqui would like it more. It's a memory for everyone now. I wanted to do it in front of Jacqui's friends and family because I know how much they mean to her."

Romantic Dan arranged for the family to gather in the hotel lobby, while a boat approached the balcony with a sign reading 'Will you marry me?'

"I told Katrina to ask for a group picture so that everyone had their backs to the water," Dan continued. "So they couldn't see the boat coming closer and closer, and then Katrina had to pass the ring behind her back to me. I said, 'Oh, look at that boat', and when Jacqueline turned around I was down on one knee with the ring."

He added: "She covered her face with her hands, she couldn't believe it. She kept saying, 'Oh my God, is this really happening?'"

But Dan made sure he didn't steal anyone's thunder by getting permission from Katrina – and Jacqueline's dad – before proposing.

Dan and Jacqueline are parents to one-year-old daughter Ella, and he also shares son Teddy, two, with ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin.
