It’s one of the music industry's biggest events, so it’s no wonder there were plenty of memorable moments at the 2017 Grammy Awards. The star-studded ceremony, which took place on Sunday night, saw the great and the good of the music world come together to celebrate all things music from the past 12 months. Here at HELLO! Online we have rounded up some of the biggest must-see moments, from Adele's heartfelt tribute to George Michael, through to Beyoncé wowing the crowds with a highly energetic performance. Also on the night, Bruno Mars performed an incredible medley of Prince’s hit songs, which sent the Grammys audience into a frenzy. And it was a big night for James Corden's parents – not only was their son hosting the Grammy Awards for the very first time, but they were also celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. Carpool Karaoke segment

It was James Corden's first time hosting the Grammys, and he pulled out all the stops to make sure it a night to remember. He kicked off one of the segments carrying a cardboard cut-out of a car, for a special Carpool Karaoke stint. James was joined by past recipients including Jennifer Lopez and John Legend, as well as Keith Urban and Neil Diamond, to sing Sweet Caroline. But it was Beyonce and Jay Z's daughter Blue Ivy who stole the show by interrupting the segment – when she ran up to the stars to take part in the singalong.

Adele's tribute to George Michael

Adele paid a heartfelt tribute to George Michael in a beautiful, sombre version of his 1996 dance tune Fastlove, which she sang as video clips of her fellow British singer-songwriter – who passed away on Christmas day - flashed on a large screen. Her homage got off to a rocky start when she stumbled in the opening chords before asking to start again. "I'm sorry. I know it's live TV," she said. "I can't mess this up for him (Michael)."

Beyoncé dazzles the crowd

Beyoncé looked absolutely sensational as she made her first public appearance since announcing that she’s pregnant with twins. The expectant mother took to the stage for an incredible performance of her songs Love Drought and Sandcastles. She wore an elaborate gold headpiece and a heavily embellished gown as she belted out her hit songs for the star-studded crowd. Her mother Tina Knowles introduced the star to the crowd and said: "I'm blessed to have daughters, wonderful daughters [Beyoncé and Solange] with everything they do. All Grammy winners tonight, I'm proud of their accomplishments and their self-confidence and their desire to make a difference. What makes me most proud and why I'm here tonight is to introduce Beyoncé… Her devotion and love in what I see in her daughter... I believe she earned nine nominations for Grammys for her Lemonade album this year. With a mother's pride, my daughter Beyoncé."

Blue Ivy and Jay Z watch Beyonce in awe

Beyoncé certainly managed to steal the show at this year’s Grammy Awards . Taking to the stage to deliver a highly energetic performance of her songs Love Drought and Sandcastle, it was clear to see that her biggest supporters were husband Jay Z and their daughter Blue Ivy. The cute father-and-daughter duo watched in awe as the pregnant star put on a show-stopping display with her hard-to-miss baby bump

Adele sings Beyonce's praises

Beyoncé was reduced to tears after Adele beat her for Best Album of the Year with 25. The British star addressed Beyonce as she praised Lemonade, telling the crowd: "I can't possibly accept this award. I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful, but Beyonce is the artist of my life." After the win, Adele said backstage: "The reason I felt I had to say something was my album of the year is Lemonade. She is my icon of my whole life." She added: "It's her time to win. My view is kind of what the (expletive) does she have to do to win album of the year? I felt this album showed another side to her that we haven't seen and I felt blessed to be brought into that situation."

Bruno Mars as Prince

Dressed in a sequined purple jacket and white scarf, Bruno Mars entertained the crowd with a lively performance as he honoured late musician Prince. He played Let's Go Crazy, a signature hit of his late musical hero. Former Prince collaborators Morris Day & The Time joined Bruno on stage with an equally energetic performance of two songs co-written by Prince - Jungle Love and The Bird. The musical legend, who won an impressive seven Grammys, died last April at age 57, suffering a prescription drug overdose at his Paisley Park home and studio near Minneapolis.

James Corden's parents celebrate anniversary

It was a big night for James Corden's parents – not only was their son hosting the Grammy Awards for the very first time, but they were also celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. Malcolm and Margret Corden were in the audience as they showed their support for their son. Halfway through the show, the British chat show host paused to tell the crowd about their major marital milestone. "This is an extraordinary week for me, not just because I’ve been given the opportunity to host this incredible show, but because this very night happens to be my parents’ 45th wedding anniversary," he said. "And they're here tonight, ladies and gentlemen. My mum and my dad are… Dad? Dad, what are you doing with Heidi Klum?" The camera then cut to Malcolm who was sitting in the audience, with supermodel Heidi on his lap. "Well your mum and I have an understanding, and I used my free pass tonight," Malcom replied. Heidi then chipped in: "What you gonna say James? He’s the cutest!" James' mum Margaret then appeared on screen, sitting with her own 'free pass', Nick Jonas. As Nick placed his jacket around Margaret and cuddled up beside her, he told the night's host: "Sorry James, your mum’s a lovely woman."

Adele confirms marriage to Simon Konecki

Adele finally confirmed her marriage to long-term partner Simon Konecki after months of speculation. Taking to the Grammy Awards stage on Sunday, the 28-year-old wasted no time in thanking her "husband" as she delivered an emotional acceptance speech after picking up the prize for Best Album of the Year. The singer said: "Grammys, I appreciate it, the Academy, I love you, my manager, my husband and my son – you're the only reason I do it." In December, Adele was spotted wearing a band on her wedding finger, however, reps for the singer had "no comment" when asked if the star had tied the knot. The couple, who have been together for five years, are parents to their four-year-old son Angelo.

CeeLo Green goes gold

One of the biggest shocks of the night was CeeLo Green's appearance. Dressed up as a big gold statue with a bold headpiece, the star caused quite the stir. It was the perfect opportunity for CeeLo to unveil his new alter ego - Gnarly Davidson.
