Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan has been absent from the panel for the last two weeks and it has now been revealed that the presenter is taking a break from the popular daytime show to focus on her personal life. The star’s representative told Best magazine this week: “Coleen is touched by everyone’s concern. The truth is she needs some time away from the spotlight to get her head together. With so much going on in her family, she just wanted to be at home, so that’s why she cancelled all her appearances over the next few weeks.”

Coleen is taking a break from the limelight to focus on her personal life

The Celebrity Big Brother winner was last seen on Loose Women admitting her fears that her secret half-sister could have been one of the unidentified bodies found at Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, County Galway. Talking to the audience, the presenter said: “I've talked about the half-sister I've never met. She was born in Ireland,” fearing: “I always wondered why she didn't get in touch and I thought, she could have been one of those babies."

The TV host entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in January to try and resolve her marriage

Coleen’s time away from Loose Women follows her revelation on the show that her marriage to husband Ray Fensome was “hanging by a thread,” causing her to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house so they could spend some time away from each other. However, the presenter told the panel that being in the house had made her miss him, and was determined to get their relationship back on track. Talking to fellow presenter Linda Robson, she said: “I’ll fight for it until there’s no fight left in me.”

The TV host's representative added that she is also taking a break from social media: “Coleen is sick of being criticised on Twitter, and now her allergies have flared up, making her skin sensitive to wearing make-up. She doesn’t want the scrutiny or heartache of being attacked online for not looking her best.”
