Actress Kate Hudson has paid a loving tribute to her parents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell by sharing a throwback photo of the famous couple from the 1980s on Instagram. Goldie and Kurt celebrated their 34th anniversary together on Valentine’s Day, but daughter Kate admits she forgot to post them a note congratulating them. Kate, 37, wrote: “My #tbt is these two loves! Mama Goldie and Pa killing it 80's style. I forgot to post a note on my parents 34th Anniversary so I figure why not now. A belated happy one my dear parents. Love you madly, deeply, profoundly.”

The post was a hit with mum-of-two Kate’s 6.8 million followers, with one commenting: “Thirty-four years what an amazing achievement. Unheard of in Hollywood these days. We salute you.” Another wrote: “What an inspiration, congrats, another 34 years. Great looking couple.” The popular black-and-white photograph shows the young Hollywood couple together, Kurt wearing a shirt and glasses and Goldie in a leopard-print blouse with her trademark wavy blonde hair.

Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women last year about her decision to remain unmarried, Goldie revealed: “I would have been long divorced if I got married. If you need to be bound to someone, then it’s important to be married. If you are independent, then it’s important to not be married. We like the choice and we chose to stay. We're always asked why we are not married. Why? What is marriage going to do for us?”

Goldie’s latest acting role is in film Snatched with Amy Schumer. The actress posted on her Twitter page about the role: “You never know what will happen on an adventure with me and my girl @amyschumer #SnatchedMovie opens in theatres this Mother’s Day weekend!” Kate meanwhile is busy with her line of workout clothes Fabletics and being mum to sons Ryder, 13, and Bingham, five. In 2016, Hudson released her book, Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body.
