Miley Cyrus' father recently sparked rumours that she tied the knot to on-off boyfriend Liam Hemsworth by sharing a cryptic picture of the star in a bridal-inspired outfit. But on Friday, the American singer seemingly confirmed that the picture was taken during the shoot of her latest music video, Malibu, which she shared with fans on social media. The 24-year-old, who rekindled her romance with the Hunger Games actor, 27, in 2015, previously said that her new album is inspired by her fiancé.

Has Miley Cyrus secretly married Liam Hemsworth?

The footage sees Miley frolicking on the beach, dressed in a variety of white lacy outfits whilst proudly showing off her engagement ring. Her lyrics include: "Sometimes I feel I'm drowning and you're here to save me and I want to thank you with all my heart, it's a brand new start, a dream come true, in Malibu." Speaking about her incredible comeback to the music scene with Malibu, Miley confessed Liam is the biggest 'influence' in her new direction. She said on Australian radio station The Kyle & Jackie O Show: "I definitely would be lying if I said that wasn't the influence or why I'm here… Because it's like, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you."

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth rekindled their romance in 2015

STORY: Miley Cyrus opens up about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth

Miley and Liam met on the set of their 2009 movie, The Last Song, before breaking off their engagement four years later. They rekindled their relationship towards the end of 2015, and have since often taken to their social media pages to share lovely pictures of themselves hanging out together. During an interview with GQ Australia in June, Liam opened up about their on/off relationship, claiming their two-year break was down to being "too young". He explained: "Of course it was hard. But at the time we were both going in different directions and it's just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time – we both needed that."
