"Cheeky monkey" Lisa Riley earns 'Strictly's' top spot after dancing debut

Lisa Riley cha-cha-ed her way to the top of the leader board on Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing.The Emmerdale actress wowed audiences as she and partner Robin Windsor earned themselves a score of 30, a clear five points ahead of Friday night's leader, Denise Van Outen.

Judge Craig Revel-Horwood firmly cemented Lisa as a hot contender in the competition when he decidedly told her "you can dance!"The other judges also seemed full of excitement at Lisa's talent with Darcy Bussell saying she would be "a joy" to watch in future showsAnd Len Goodman echoed Lisa's own surprise calling her a "cheeky little monkey" as she shook her head in disbelief at the judge's high praise.

Hot on Lisa's golden heels was Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, who scored 28 points with her partner Pasha Kovale, who was last series' runner up.In a sparkly pink cut-away dress, Kimberley also looked set to go far in the show and sits in second position on the leader board ahead of Olympic gymnast Louis Smith.After Saturday night's show the 10th series of Strictly is now well under way and all 14 pairs of contestants have begun their bid for the coveted glitterball trophy.
