Beyoncé laughs off baby rumours

The million-dollar question of whether Beyoncé is pregnant with her second child remains unanswered. When asked about the baby rumours on a televised interview, the Love On Top singer laughed the question off. "What kind of rumour? Huh? I don't know what you're talking about!" she said, when talking backstage at The Sound of Change charity concert in London. Beyoncé, 31, made an extra effort to dispel speculation when she uploaded a photo on her tumblr account of herself and rapper husband Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, canoodling and enjoying a bottle of red wine.

The couple already have a 16-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy, and the singer has made no secret about her wish to expand her family. Beyoncé herself enjoyed a close relationship with DJ sister Solange. Speaking during an interview on ABC's Good Morning America, she said, "I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister." "I just adore being a mother, hearing her say ‘Mama’ and call me when she needs something," she said. "It makes me feel like I have a real purpose here. I enjoy all the things people warned me would be tough to handle." The toddler is experiencing life on the road with her mother, and will accompany Beyoncé throughout her ongoing Mrs. Carter Show which began in April and ends in August.

Rumours of a possible second child started when the singer had to cancel a performance in Antwerp, Belgium, citing "dehydration and exhaustion". Multiple sources then related the cancellation to morning sickness and other pregnancy-related issues. But the next night Beyoncé was back on stage and claimed she had been recovering from a sore throat. The popstar is in the middle of her Mrs. Carter tour and has shows scheduled in Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Denmark and the USA. The tour ends on 5 August in Jay-Z's hometown, Brooklyn.
