Emmerdale actors Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden confirm split

Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have announced that they have split up.The pair, who play Debbie Dingle and David Metcalfe in popular ITV soap Emmerdale, have a son called Buster, who was born in 2010.A spokeswoman for the show said: "Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have confirmed that they have separated."

"They will remain friends and are focusing on their little boy. "The pair are both expected to remain with the long-running hit show.Matthew took to Twitter on Wednesday to thank fans for their support: "Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. Unfortunately these things happen, and it's very sad. Buster is our main priority always. X"Last month, Charley, 25, told The Mirror that she was looking to concentrate on work before growing her family.

"My partner Matthew and I would like more children, but at the moment I'm focusing on work," she said.Meanwhile, Matthew expressed that the couple, who got engaged in 2009, did actually want another baby to join their son. "We definitely want to start planning for another, so that might end up coming first, before a wedding," he told new! magazine last month. "It'd be great to have children involved in the day - I could see Buster running riot!"The 33-year-old won reality show Dancing on Ice in 2012, beating Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter and X Factor's Chico in the final.Charley's brother, Jamie Lomas, is married to Coronation Street star Kym Marsh and recently signed up to appear in EastEnders.
