The heartbroken parents released a statement confirming the tragic news, describing their "unexpected loss" as "a big blow".
Footballer Rafael and Sabia announced that they were expecting a baby in October having been together for around six months.
They confirmed that they were an item around three months after Rafael and Sylvie announced their split after he allegedly assaulted her at a New Years Eve party.

Rafael and Sylvie's divorce was finalised last week. They have a son Damian Rafael together.
Sabia and her ex-husband who is Rafael's former team mate Khalid Boulahrouz suffered the loss of a prematurely born daughter Anissa in 2008. The former couple have three children together.
