After a week of run-ins with the law, Justin Bieber needed some rest - and it seems like he got it. The singer's father posted a picture on Twitter of the star sleeping peacefully in bed with his half-brother, hours after Justin turned himself in to Toronto police to face possible assault charges. "Safe and sound #homesweethome," Jeremy Bieber captioned the snapshot, which shows four-year-old Jaxon sleeping next to his big brother.

The Toronto case came as a second blow for Justin, who was also arrested in Miami last week and charged with DUI, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license.Hours after pleading not guilty to his arrest in Florida, the 19-year-old Canadian appeared at the 52 Division of the Toronto police department to face charges that he assaulted a limousine driver in December. "We anticipate that this matter will be treated as a summary offense, the equivalent of a misdemeanor in the United States," Justin's lawyer said in a statement.

"Our position is that Mr Bieber is innocent. As the matter is before the court, it would be inappropriate to address the specifics of either the allegation or of our defense at this time. "That's not all. The singer is also at the centre of a White House petition demanding that he is deported from the US. The petition has now garnered more than 100,000 signatures, meaning that the White House is required to make an official response.
